After graduated from Trisakti University, he directly worked as Lecturer in Pelita Harapan University. While he was teaching he continued in graduate program and after two years he earned Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Australian Beef Supply Chain Management from Faculty of Rural Management (Orange Campus, NSW) The University of Sydney, Australia.

Father of two children, always shares his knowledge by teaching in more than seven universities, both in Indonesia and Australia.

Following is the transcript of the interview:

What department did you take when you were in Trisakti University?Industrial Engineering

Could you tell us, after graduated from Trisakti University, do you directly take a job or continue to graduate program or other activities? After graduate from Trisakti, I directly taught in Pelita Harapan University from 1997 to 2002.  Then I continued my postgraduate degree at Pelita Harapan University in 2000.  I got a PhD scholarship in Australian in 2002 then I was teaching at University in Australia (University of Technology Sydney from 2004 to 2008), then I am now a Lecturer at University of Wollongong, Sydney Business School.

What is the most impressive thing when you studied in Trisakti? I was impressed with University environment, lecturers, facilities including labs etc.  In addition, the quality of teaching and learning at FTI, Trisakti University was great.

Do you think the courses that you got while you studied in Trisakti sufficient to support your career today? YES definitely.

If you could give suggestion, according to the recent condition, what should Trisakti do, in term of improvement on education and learning, in pursuing students (especially student from Faculty of Industrial Technology), who have capability to compete with other universities both local and abroad?

I guess that University of Trisakti should look at the best practices what other Universities in Singapore or Australia particularly have.  For instance, University should apply International Accreditation course.  Additionally, University should apply great connection with Government, industry and international organization as well as the other Australia Universities.

What the interesting or the advantages to be lecturer in Australiacompare with in Indonesia? No comment for this question.

Based on information, you are periodically invited as a guest lecturer in Indonesian universities. What are the difference between Indonesian students and Australian students, for instant, on their response or the way they learn? I guess that it is pretty similar.  The differences are the way students thinking and also they way students catching up the material.  It is good idea that University in Indonesia should have international program which means that they are using English. 

What is the valuable experience that you got as a lecturer abroad? I got teaching and research awards in University.  I got several grants and publications in the University environment. 

What is the unforgettable experience when you taught in Australia? Not too stress, take it easy and all facilities as well as the compensation.

Do you have particular hobby? Yes. Reading and Sport

Could you tell us about your family?Yes.  I have two children.  The first one is 4 years old and the second one is nearly 1.5 years old.  Both of them were born in Australia.Thank you***
