Jan Michael Edward, a fresh graduate of the Industrial Engineering class of 2018, embarked on an impressive journey during his college years marked by both academic excellence and impactful contributions to various fields. He demonstrated his leadership skills by serving as the Chief Executive of Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Industri, showcasing his ability to steer initiatives and create a positive impact within his university community.
Before assuming this pivotal role, Jan Michael Edward was actively engaged in several organizations. His participation in “Kepresiden Mahasiswa” demonstrated his penchant for involvement in shaping important decisions. One of his noteworthy achievements was collaborating on the creation of an ERP simulation game for students, a project brought to life through the innovative app MonsoonSIM. This endeavor highlighted his dedication to fostering a dynamic learning environment through technology and hands-on experiences.
In the realm of academia, Jan Michael Edward’s achievements extended beyond the boundaries of his undergraduate degree. He achieved a remarkable feat by securing the championship title in the National University Debating Competition held at Trisakti University. Collaborating with Arthur Rane, he showcased his eloquence and critical thinking, earning recognition as the third-best speaker in the competition. This achievement underscored his ability to excel both academically and in extracurricular pursuits.
After graduating, Jan Michael Edward transitioned into the professional sphere, taking up the role of a Business Operations Analyst at a forward-thinking startup. His mission: to address one of Indonesia’s pressing concerns – plastic waste. In this capacity, he demonstrated a deep understanding of the intricacies of supply chain management and exhibited a talent for identifying areas of improvement. His focus was clear: optimizing operational processes to minimize waste and contribute to the larger cause of environmental sustainability.
Jan Michael Edward embraced challenges with an economic mindset, constantly seeking ways to achieve maximum output with the most efficient allocation of resources. His determination to align his goals with real-world impact led him to create tangible solutions that resonated with his startup’s mission and vision. His analytical prowess and ability to devise innovative strategies earned him a reputation as a valued contributor within the organization.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jan Michael Edward nurtured a secondary passion – community building. He recognized the importance of play and growth beyond the confines of work and academia. With this insight, he initiated the creation of a community that fostered connections while nurturing personal development.
Building on his foundation of excellence, Jan Michael Edward recently achieved another milestone. He was accepted into the prestigious MBA program at ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology), a testament to his commitment to furthering his knowledge in sustainable management and leadership. This new chapter promises to equip him with the skills needed to continue his journey of making a meaningful impact on the world around him.

Don’t ever give up on any of your endeavors, for in the end, no one will truly care about what you’re going to do or struggle through. So, keep moving forward and always hold into faith
