The Open House of the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Universitas Trisakti, was held on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The event was attended by prospective new students and their parents. It began with an opening speech from the Dean of FTI Usakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi – Sulamet Ariobimo, S.T., M.Eng., IPM, followed by an introduction to the various study programs within FTI Usakti.

The event continued with a laboratory tour. Prospective students were invited to explore and experience the facilities in the Industrial Engineering Department, including the Work System Design and Ergonomics Laboratory and the Production Systems Laboratory (Machining and Robotics).

In the Production Systems Laboratory, prospective students were introduced to and allowed to operate a drilling machine. During this session, they used the drilling machine to create holes in wooden toy parts. Additionally, they were introduced to technology for creating stamped batik using a Dobot robotic arm.

Next, in the Work System Design and Ergonomics Laboratory, prospective students were introduced to various equipment available in the lab, and they had the opportunity to operate them. Examples include the Climate Chamber, Driving Simulator, Treadmill, and Anthropometric Chair.

It is hoped that this Open House will increase prospective students’ interest in continuing their studies in the Industrial Engineering program at Universitas Trisakti.
