Two lecturers of Industrial Engineering Study Program, Dr. Dian Mardi Safitri and Emelia Sari, PhD had the opportunity to join the ECoGreen team with the Trisakti Sustainability Center (TSC). This team is tasked with carrying out a work program that is packaged in six Work Packages.

ECoGREEN is an acronym for Empowering Transdisciplinary Collaboration and Green Entrepreneurial Education Toward Sustainable Campus and Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Indonesia. The project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme. The aim of this project is to establish a sustainable and green campus platform that facilitates collaboration in education and research at Indonesian and European partner universities, tackling the challenges of sustainability in Indonesia.

Trisakti University is one of the members of the grant recipient consortium along with five other universities in Indonesia, namely Parahyayangan Catholic University as the head of the consortium, Wahid Hasyim University, Soegijapranata Catholic University, Atmajaya Catholic University, and the University of Surabaya.
The other two universities are Wageningen University (Netherlands) and Universiteit Hasselt (Belgium). This team will work for three years.

The Kick-Off Meeting and the signing of the cooperation agreement were held at Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, on May 3-5 2023.

Trisakti University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA gave his speech, and said that sustainability is an important issue that is also of concern to Trisakti University, because this earth is a loan from our children and grandchildren.

Through this activity, the Industrial Engineering Study Program can contribute to Trisakti University and the development of sustainable and green higher education.
