Dr. Dian Mardi Safitri, lecturer in Industrial Engineering at Trisakti University received an invitation to give a public lecture on Industrial Engineering for Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang. The general lecture topic is “Application of Motion and Time Study Concepts in Continuous Improvement of Production Systems.”

This activity was held on Saturday, December 2 2023 in the Rectorate Hall of Buana Perjuangan University. Material presented by Dr. Dian is a Motion and Time Study Concept. The presentation explained the role of work design in eliminating ineffective activities so that the production process can become leaner. Work design and measurement competency is one of the main competencies that industrial engineering graduates must master.
This is confirmed by the presentation of other sources from the automotive industry, namely from PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Industry. The application of motion and time study principles in the automotive industry is proven to still be carried out and is one of the main pillars for lean manufacturing.
