Wednesday, July 13, 2022 Usakti and the Wadhwani Foundation held an event of giving placards and certificates to Trisakti University lecturers and institutions which took place in a hybrid manner at M Building Lt. 12 Trisakti University.

Wadhwani Foundation itself is a non-profit organization from the United States that is engaged in helping the development of start-ups in developing countries. Senior Program Manager South East Asia Wadhwani Foundation, Dr. Dion Dewa Barata said that this award was appropriate for Trisakti University due to several factors and data that had been collected by the Wadhwani Foundation. One of them is the number of globally validated Practice Ventures, a balanced ratio of lecturers and students, and lecturers who always involve and provide assistance to their students. Usakti is also the largest institution that contributes to the creation of entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

The Chancellor of Trisakti University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA said that the Wadhwani Foundation once held a National Entrepreneur Network (NEN) in that activity. It was conveyed that there were a number of goals, namely to inspire, educate and encourage students to establish start-ups. Thanks to the lecturers’ guidance and direction from the Wadhwani Foundation, Usakti gave birth to 181 Practice Ventures. This further strengthens Usakti in producing entrepreneurs who also support Usakti to become an entrepreneurial university.

The awards received by Usakti are:

1. Gold Institute Award 2021 to Trisakti University, which was received by the Chancellor
2. Institute Certificate of Appreciation, received by Vice Chancellor 1 for Academic Affairs: Prof. Asri Nugrahanti, M.S., Ph.D., IPU
3. Certificate of Gold Global Jury Award 2021 to Djohar (Ade) Idris M.Sc., M.BA
4. Faculty Certificate of Appreciation to 18 lecturers:
