The Industrial Engineering Study Program is one of the programs under the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti.
Currently, the Industrial Engineering Study Program has obtained an “Excellent” Accreditation granted by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Engineering Study Programs (LAM Teknik), as stated in Decree No. 0826/SK/LAM Teknik/AS/XII/2024, valid from 21 December 2024 to 20 December 2029.
The Industrial Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, received IABEE (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education) Provisional accreditation under Decree No. 91/PII-IABEE/XII/2018.
In 2021, the program earned IABEE General international accreditation, based on Decree No. 27/PII-IABEE/III/2021.
In 2024, the program once again earned the IABEE Accredited status, as stated in Decree No. 13/PII-IABEE/III/2024, valid from 18 March 2021 to 31 March 2026.
For the academic year 2024/2025, the Industrial Engineering Department consists of 29 faculty members. The lecturers have actively secured numerous research and community service grants. They have produced publications at the international level (reputable international journals, international seminars, international media) as well as national-level publications (accredited national journals, national seminars, national media).
The Industrial Engineering Study Program received the IABEE Grant in 2020 and the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM) grant in 2021 and 2022. The program strongly encourages students to participate in student exchange programs, industrial internships, and green technopreneurship activities. Through PKKM funding, scientific publications, lecturer competency development, and laboratory equipment continue to improve.
Collaboration with universities and industries also continues to expand. Lecturers are encouraged to actively participate in professional organizations such as the Indonesian Ergonomics Association, BKSTI (Indonesian Industrial Engineering Higher Education Cooperation Agency), and BKTI PII (Industrial Engineering Division of the Indonesian Engineers Association).
The program also supports activities involving alumni through the Industrial Engineering Alumni Association of Trisakti (IKATISAKTI), as well as student activities organized by the Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI), including webinars, anniversary events, music performances, and student competitions.
In line with the development of Industry 4.0 and the digital era, the Industrial Engineering Study Program actively communicates through social media:

According to the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), Industrial Engineering focuses on the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, equipment, energy, and information to specify, predict, and evaluate system performance. This requires knowledge and skills in mathematics, physics, social sciences, and engineering methodologies.
To navigate the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the digital era, the Industrial Engineering Program adopts the VUCA approach—Visionary, Understanding, Clarity, and Agility.
The program also integrates concepts of Society 5.0, emphasizing human-centered technological development. Industrial Engineering remains highly relevant due to its methods engineering analysis, design tools for prediction and evaluation, and its role in democratizing information and knowledge access in the digital era.
The program supports Big Data Analytics through courses such as Computer Programming, Statistics, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Intelligence.
Curriculum development is based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), and the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy.
The program has also established international certification partnerships for courses in Supply Chain Systems, Business Intelligence, Data Mining, Project Management, and Technology-Based Entrepreneurship.
As of 2025, after 41 years of establishment, the Industrial Engineering Study Program of Universitas Trisakti has produced more than 7,100 alumni, and in the 2025/2026 academic year, the program has 385 active students.
