DESCRIPTION
Internships are work practices in companies, government institutions, international institutions, non-governmental organizations, and so on, focusing on the application/implementation of the theory gained in the lecture process. Internships aim to provide reflection, and practical experience of the theories learned in lectures, general and specific skills in the world of work, internalization of professional attitudes and work culture, and flexibility for students to complete final assignments through internships.
OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE OF INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES
In particular, the objectives of the Internship based on Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus majoring in Industrial Engineering are as follows:
Provide sufficient experience for students to conduct direct learning in the workplace (experiential learning). The learning system, course conversion, and assessment system are based on an agreement between the department and partner institutions.
Provide experience for students to gain hard skills (skills, complex problem solving, analytical skills, etc.) and soft skills (professional/work ethics, communication, collaboration, etc.).
provide an opportunity for the industry to get talent that, if suitable, can be immediately recruited, thereby reducing the cost of recruitment and initial/induction training
While the scope of internship activities include:
Internship activities provide an opportunity for students who meet the requirements to carry out learning activities outside the study program for up to 6 months with acknowledgment and conversion according to course conversion guidelines.
Internship activities can be carried out in government agencies/private partner companies that already have an MoU majoring in Industrial Engineering at Trisakti University or not, which partners are relevant to the scientific field of industrial engineering.
The work that the internship student participates in must be relevant to Industrial Engineering knowledge which includes the fields of manufacturing and services as well as management.
PROGRAM SCHEME
The independent campus internship program scheme at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Trisakti University, consists of two pathways:
This program is an independent Campus internship program facilitated by the Ministry of Education and Culture through Internship | Merdeka Learning – Independent Campus (kemendikbud.go.id) and/or independent campus internship programs initiated by industry/institutions. This external Internship is carried out by following the procedures and programs that apply at the Ministry of Education and Culture and or the industry/institution where the Internship is carried out. The output of this program is a report on internship activities that the internship institution and department evaluate, as well as recognition of relevant courses for the conversion of internship credit following the provisions of the Industrial Engineering department.
2. Internal Internship Program
This program is an Independent Campus program facilitated by the Department of Industrial Engineering, Trisakti University in collaboration with several industries/agencies. This Internship is carried out by taking relevant courses for the conversion of internship credit by the provisions of the Industrial Engineering department. The program output is a report on internship activities evaluated by the agency where the Internship is located and the department through the supervisor.
