Universitas Trisakti has established cooperation with the Korea Maritime And Ocean University Consortium (KMOUC), which was mutually agreed upon in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) held on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Hery Hartanto Building (FTI), Campus A, Universitas Trisakti.
The signing was carried out by the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo, ST, M.Eng, IPM., and the President of the Korea Maritime And Ocean University Consortium, Prof. Dr. Oh Jin Seok, witnessed by the Director of KUIKK Usakti, Dr. Ir. Agus Guntoro, M.Si., as well as the vice deans of the Faculty of Industrial Technology and their staff.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo, ST, M.Eng, IPM., expressed in her remarks that this collaboration enables the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and resources between institutions, enriching the curriculum and student learning experiences. Additionally, this collaboration often leads to innovative interdisciplinary research and solutions to global challenges. It is hoped that this cooperation will strengthen the reputation and competitiveness of each institution globally, as well as create synergy that drives scientific and social progress.
In the discussion of this cooperation, plans for the development of offshore technology were also initiated, especially in the utilization or conversion of unused oil rigs or platform bodies into productive facilities such as fish processing and facilities for obtaining new energy.
It is hoped that through this collaboration, Universitas Trisakti can conduct research and development in the Revitalization of Indonesian marine waters and technology development to address climate change and reduce carbon emissions in Indonesian waters.
