Suara.com – Trisakti University Industrial Engineering celebrates its 38th anniversary. The event with the theme “Build High Quality Future With Our Best Feature” began with remarks from the Chair of the Elvania committee, Chair of HMTI Jan Michael, Head of Department Dr. Rina Fitriana, ST, MM, Assistant Deputy Dean III Ir. Sucipto Adisuwiryo, MM, and the Chancellor of Trisakti University Prof.Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA.
“Let’s be grateful that at the age of 38, at a mature age, having gone through many phases, Trisakti Industrial Engineering has proven to be able to adapt to uncertain situations in this pandemic era. Hopefully all stakeholders, namely lecturers, employees, alumni, students, faculties and rectorates can jointly build an educational ecosystem that is able to innovate and be able to encourage the creation of collaborations that not only create superior human resources but graduate graduates who can make a real contribution to the nation and country,” said Ambiya Pietoyo ST, M.Sc as chairman of the IKATISAKTI Alumni in his statement, Saturday (18/6/2022).
Next Dr. Rina Fitriana as the Head of the Trisakti Industrial Engineering Department said that, on its 38th anniversary, TI Usakti had received the BAN PT Superior accreditation and General IABEE international accreditation.
In addition, TI Usakti has also received PKKM Grants (Independent Campus Competition Program) for 2 consecutive years in 2021 and 2022.
Interestingly, in the context of the 38th IT Anniversary, a Lecturer Profile book and Alumni Insight Profile book have also been produced which contain profiles of the success of Usakti IT Alumni.
“Hopefully IT Usakti will be more compact, more solid, and can produce superior human resources for Indonesia Jaya,” said Dr. Rina.
As a representative of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Sucipto Assistant Deputy Dean 3 conveyed a message from the Dean that his party together in synergy promote IT and maintain the good name of IT from alumni, students so that IT can be better, achieve, and can realize what is expected.
Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi as Chancellor of Trisakti University said “We are entering a new era of the 4th revolution era, the digital era where we face a challenge, we must face it with VUCA, namely visionaries who dare to face the future, understand what is happening, Clarity makes the unclear clear , Agile responsive to the environment. From the definition of industrial engineering which has five main elements, namely humans, materials, facilities, energy, information. Where now we enter the information age without leaving the other 4 elements. In the definition of industrial engineering we use mathematics, physics and social science and this is still relevant to developments today. When we talk about social science, we are faced with society 5.0. Where Society 5.0 is an elaboration of the 4.0 revolution that focuses on humans. Industrial engineering is becoming more attractive because of the engineering analysis methods, designs for predicting and evaluating. To face the industrial revolution 4.0, the digital era, especially in the eyes of industrial engineering, there will be democratization of information and access to knowledge. Everyone from anywhere, anyone, any time can get information easily. Who wins now is the one who controls the data and controls the information. So Industrial Engineering students must master Big Data Analytics, statistics, data mining, artificial intelligence, master computing, coding and programming. Industrial Engineering is also expected to cooperate across study programs. The existence of Industrial Engineering is also still very relevant to the development of industry 4.0. Cooperation with industry is also important, among others, with the Wadhwany Foundation, Finland, PT. Rhino and the ministry of communication and information. The Chancellor highly appreciated the achievements of Usakti Industrial Engineering which has received the PT Tire Superior accreditation and IABEE General International Accreditation. The event continued with cutting the cone and birthday cake and giving awards to Prof. Dadan Umar Daihani as one of the founders of the Trisakti Industrial Engineering Department and Dr. Dorina Hetharia for her dedication as a senior Lecturer at TI Usakti.

Prof. Dadan told a story about the history of the founding of Trisakti Industrial Engineering. “A struggle with Alm. Dr. Arief Aryaman in establishing Trisakti Industrial Engineering. The Trisakti Industrial Engineering Department has studied computer programming at its inception in the midst of the lack of computers. So Industrial Engineering already thinks that the world is informative even though it is not a field. Furthermore, with the support of Mr. Rohali and inviting lecturers from ITB, Ms. Didien, Ms. Tiena and Ms. Docki, with 5 people we teach industrial engineering. Now I am proud that Industrial Engineering graduates have reached 6,700 alumni who are scattered everywhere and have been successful. This is the result of the extraordinary struggle of the lecturers. Let’s build IT to be more advanced and achieve more,” said Prof. Dadan Umar Daihani is one of the founders of Trisakti Industrial Engineering.
Likewise, Dorina as a senior IT lecturer also congratulated TI’s anniversary. “Congratulations to Industrial Engineering, Thank you for the award. I am proud of IT because many alumni get good jobs. Hopefully IT will continue to excel and students will continue to study hard so that they become alumni who can carry the good name of the alma mater,” he said.
The TI Usakti Anniversary event was well organized thanks to donors and sponsors from IT alumni. One of the alumni who is also a sponsor is Todotua Pasaribu who also attended this event offline.
“I am happy to be a part of TI Usakti. IT Usakti has succeeded in shaping me to this day, where here I learn, organize, socialize with the community. Happy 38th Anniversary. 6700 graduates are quality alumni products. Many alumni have been recruited by state-owned and private companies. And I think with the lecturers and head of this department, I believe it will bring IT even better. We alumni are ready to contribute to IT,” said Todo.
