Independent Business Study-Applied Technology (KUM-ITT) International Student Community Service Program Collaboration in Applied Science and Technology Kitakyushu, Japan

Seven Industrial Engineering students:

  7. Gadis Maharani

participated in the KUM-ITT International program in Kitakyushu, Japan from May 8-19, 2024.

The students engaged in various activities:

  1. Kamishibai at Hibikino Shogako with the topic of Renewable Energy
  2. Arranging space and floor areas outside the mosque at the Kitakyushu Islamic Cultural Center (KICC)
  3. SDGs training
  4. Historical Workshop at the Environment Museum and Murasaki River Museum
  5. Historical Workshop at Mojiko Port
  6. Yukata Experience and sightseeing at Kokura Castle
  7. Workshop at Kitakyushu Eco Town Center and Nature Conservation Biotope
  8. Workshop at Shabondama Sekken Factory
  9. Introducing traditional dental care in Indonesia, Indonesian culture, and making ketupat wrappers at Orion Terrace, Community Learning Center. This activity was attended by 50 Kitakyushu residents.
  10. The students also collaborated and engaged in cultural exchange with students from Kitakyushu University, accompanied by Prof. Kodama Yayoi.

The program concluded with the awarding of 9 KUM-ITT International Certificates by Prof. Toru Matsumoto. The KUM-ITT was considered complete after the students submitted their reports and outcomes of the KUM-ITT.
